私共がこの度開催致します展覧会はスイス人デザイナー、カズ・フグラーと成山画廊が考えました他に類を見ない銀製品、「成山画廊の銀製品」の発表です。
成山画廊の永遠のテーゼが“メルヒェン”だとお気付きのかたも多いかと存じますが、日本語で使われる“メルヘン”とは、ひと味違う、超現実的であり超自
然的要素を含む象徴性を、私共のやり方で表せないかとカズ・フグラーと共に考え銀製のバッグに仕立てました。
バッグは銀の板を木槌でたたき出し、細かい意匠を手作業で彫り込む形で形成されています。また、私共成山画廊では木彫で花や動物を表した作品を御覧頂い
ております土屋仁応が原型を造り、銀で鋳造し、毛並みを彫り込み、狡猾な視線を鉱物で表した動物も展示致します。
A Sterling Silver Collection

Gallery Naruyama is pleased to announce A Sterling Silver
Collection. The exhibition and sale opens on December 1st,
2006 and presents sterling silver art objects as a joint collaboration
between Gallery Naruyama and Japanese-Swiss designer Kazu
Huggler.
The exhibitionwill premiere
the Egg Bag and the Manga Bag-both made from hand-hammered
sterling silver and crested with Kazu Huggler's insignia,
as well as Naruyama's label.Each bag stretches the imagination
and artistic boundaries.The Egg Bag is a surrealistic blend
of fantasy and functionality-serving as both an objet d'art,
with its depiction of a whimsical creature and an evening
handbag.The Manga Bag with its delicate diamond star setting
is a throwback to the 1970s where the Manga heroine lived
in a fantasy world of peace and love.This bag seeks to fill
one's heart with romance and love.
The work of Japanese artist
Yoshimasa Tsuchiya will also be featured.Well-known for his
animals and flowers in wood, Tsuchiya's first successful partnership
with Gallery Naruyama and Kazu Huggler debuted his designs
in sterling silver (deer, lamb, rabbit and cat) at the Tokyo
Art Fair last November.For this exhibition, Tsuchiya will
show for the first time, sterling silver animal keyholders.The
sterling silver animals and items are accentuated by precious
stone settings and are a wonderful compliment to the Egg and
Manga Bags.
