TOGA TRIANGLE VOL.02
NAGNAGNAG
5.3 - 5.12.2024
At the request of his bereaved family, Gallery Naruyama will be introducing the works of the sculptor Shigeru Arai, better known as NAGNAGNAG, who suddenly passed November of last year.
During his lifetime, he led the soft vinyl world with his eerie yet adorable soft vinyl dolls, and his unique hand-painting technique dubbed 'Arai-nuri'. Some may recall his collaboration with graffiti writer WANTO and his exhibition with sculptor Kosuke Ikejima at the Tokyo Art Fair.
We will host an inaugural exhibition following his passing at TOGA TRIANGLE, a new art space within the new TOGA store.
Crowds are expected on the first day of viewing. Numbered tickets will be distributed in front of the store from 11am.
On the first day, up to 4 people will be allowed to enter the exhibition space, and their stay will be limited to 20 minutes.
- Purchases are limited to one item per person or group.
- Purchases cannot be made by proxy.
- Sales will be on a first-come, first-served basis.
- No reservations. Payment will be made on the day and the sale will be completed.
- Purchasers will be required to sign a 5-year non-resale agreement and provide a copy of their ID.
There are many counterfeits of works.
Please be aware that there are even counterfeits made with costumes.
Come feel the energy of the real deal.
