Fritz Müller (1891-1964) came from a wealthy family in Zurich, Switzerland, and studied painting landscapes under Wilhelm Ludwig Lehmann (1861-1932). Although he went on to study painting in Paris, he never made a living as an artist.Using the texture of the paper, Müller focuses on the faces of the model to create images of innocence, as though we were presented with flowers instead of drawings.
